Federico Massa alias Iena Cruz is a Milanese artist based in Brooklyn born in 1981. Internationally recognized he is highly appreciated for his characteristic wall painting, commissioned for a unique pictorial style and made using combinations of media and unconventional technologies, with the aim of communicating messages of social justice and environmental protection. Nature and animal figures – subjects always present in his works – represent the distinctive element that he uses to communicate his strong belief in the concept of conservation. His practice, in addition to taking shape through wall or street art interventions, includes canvas works, sculptures, ceramics, marble mosaic, design of lamps, carpets and fabrics.
